What are you collecting and displaying bun? That's right I know you never play anything you just buy stuff because it looks good on your shelf. It's a known fact that the average bun user has 6 figures in disposable income, that's why they can afford stuff like the PS5.We're not so different, You… and I…

We're not so different, You… and I…
Nobody ever comes inside my home so there's no real point in buying anything to display. I prefer digital copies of games over physical copies. More convenient and doesn't take up any space.
>>1589It takes up cyberspace. So much so that it's a mess to scroll through. What looks great on your digital cybershelf?
>>1590Not a problem on Steam, you have a bazillion ways to filter and search the list.
>>1589I don't trust digital as much as physical, so I only by digital if I'm okay with losing it one day. Although, nobody comes to my house also, so nobody sees my physical collection.
>>1588Ironically all of my vanity media is in a box in the second bedroom, so I'm not actually displaying any of it.It's pretty much all japanese breakcore and japanese language yuri works. This is some equal parts collecting and supporting the artist, I guess. Unfortunately I missed my chance to get the box set for KKK not from a scalper, so idk if I feel strongly enough to get it for a 3000% markup. If the new series doesn't get ax'd maybe there'll be a rerelease.I've got a lot of books I bought to read but then never read as well.>>1593Just make your own physical media if you're worried about losing something. This also works for bootlegging e.g. jewelcases for display and is honestly pretty cool.
>>1595Supporting the creators is a major reason for me to buy digital instead. With physical goods, a large chunk of the money involved doesn't actually go to the creators. Digital still has a big cut for the platform/distributors, but it cuts out most costs not related to actually creating the work.
Wait a month I got some cool stuff coming in the mail.>>1599Opposite for me. I can't justify supporting anyone (like a streamer) unless I get something physical for it. Only times I buy digital games are for the online now, everything else I get physically or just pirate.

>>1599The people I'm buying cds from are literally burning them themselves onto a 10c disk and mailing it to me (and I'm the one paying postage). I think that they're keeping the fucking money, dude.
looking for one of these that doesn't cost a million dollars
Look who showed up its Aya!!That makes 4 Ayas and 1 tube.
It's mail day bun! I finally got my latest shipment of jap crap. What could be inside?
Looks like some V-JUMP issues, bargain bin nentendos, and something unusual.
I also got some cards that have uncensored ocg artwork but those fuckers used way too much tape in all the wrong places. It took a lot of pain to get them open without damaging my cardboard.
Here are the cards I picked up laid out on the 'zines. Thunder Nyan Nyan is probably my favorite.
This is what the inside of one looks like, they are full of extras like this you can cut out.
I got these from 2 other volumes I recently bought, No idea what the game on the right is supposed to be.
In '07, DEEN released this. Apparently it was a reward for buying 12 volumes of Higurashi Kai. I can only imagine how much that must have cost back in the day. There can't be many of these floating around!
All the tiles are still sealed except for one which probably opened during shipping. They are small but quite heavy. Overall I'd say it's in great condition for its age. Quarter for scale.
Lastly, I just finished my NA Yugioh GBA collection, can't wait to never try out any of these games in person.t. my blog
>>1675The Sacred Cards, Reshef of Destruction and Eternal Duelist Soul suck, they don't use the actual game rules but some bullshit based on the anime I think.Worldwide Edition, 7 Trials To Glory, Duel Academy, World Championship 2004 and Ultimate Masters are proper Yu-Gi-Oh! implementations. The latter two are purely focused on the game itself (with just menus to get into battles, though there are duel puzzles and stuff) while the former three have a whole meta-game around it, going to different places and dueling different people to gradually build your deck. I personally like Worldwide Edition best. It doesn't display the card art in the field overview which will take some getting used to (that was introduced with WC2004), but the meta-game is fun, it focuses on one of Yu-Gi-Oh's most fun eras, and the music is great.Dungeon Dice Monsters, as the name suggests, is a full game made out of the game they briefly played in the anime involving summoning monsters and unfolding dice to create a path to your opponent on the field to attack him. Conceptually really cool, but I got bored of it fairly quickly as games felt too samey and easy. I haven't played Destiny Board Traveler.

>>1676I grew up with the first 3 you mentioned. Soul uses the actual rules it's just old as fuck. The card pictures don't show up on the field in 2004. They are only in 2006, TSC, and RoD AFAIK. 2006 (Ultimate Masters) is allegedly the best because it has the most features, follows the rules the closest, and has the biggest card pool. It was also the last game released for the GBA. Consider the record corrected. This Yuginigger has good videos on some of the games for those who are interested: https://www.youtube.com/@gameboylad Reshef would actually be pretty good if it weren't for the bullshit grind.

>>1677Looks like I was mistaken, it's been a very long time since I played them. I was confusing Ultimate Masters with WC2004. Looks like I haven't played WC2004 either. I lumped Eternal Duelist Soul with the pre-Expert games, but it turns out it's actually more like a prototype of Worldwide Edition (and the international version of Expert 1).>2006 (Ultimate Masters) is allegedly the best because it has the most features, follows the rules the closest, and has the biggest card pool. Those three things are certainly true (plus seeing the cards really helps), but I felt it to be a bit dry, focusing purely on dueling with no game around it.
